Ways to Give

Thank you for being part of the SComm family. Thanks for partnering with what God is doing through the ministry and mission of Scarborough Community Alliance Church (SCOMMAC). Your generosity helps us strengthen discipleship and mission. It helps build up our church family, our community, and our mission (local and global) work.

You can give through any of the following methods.

Interac e-Transfer

Use Interac e-Transfer through your financial institution’s online banking service to make a one-time donation.

  • Recipient: Scarborough Community Alliance Church

  • Email: online.giving@scommac.org

  • Message: Include your offering account number and donation designations.

Example:
Account #1000 — General: $400; Missions: $100; Siem Reap: $50.

Please ensure that the designated amounts add up to the total donation. If you do not know your offering account number, please include your full mailing address so the church can identify your gift and issue your donation receipt.

Your donation will be deposited directly into the church’s bank account. You will receive an email confirmation once the transaction is complete.

Privacy reminder: Please do not include banking passwords, account details, or other sensitive financial information in your transfer message.

Pre-Authorized Monthly Giving (PAGE)

Pre-Authorized Giving (PAGE) allows you to support the church through a recurring monthly donation. Transfers are processed on the 15th of each month.

You may designate your monthly gift to one of the following funds:

  • General Fund

  • Missions

  • Building

  • Other

Please note that, at this time, donations designated as “Other” are allocated to the Major Renovation Fund.

To get started:

  1. Complete the PAGE authorization form.

  2. Attach a void cheque or other accepted banking information as specified on the form.

  3. Email the completed form and attachment to admin@scommac.org.

You may cancel your pre-authorized giving at any time by contacting the church office.

For your protection, please send banking documents only to the designated church email address, and confirm the address before sending.

Donation of Securities

Donating eligible securities may be a tax-effective way to support the ministry of SCOMMAC. Depending on the type of securities and your circumstances, donating appreciated publicly traded securities directly to a registered charity may eliminate the capital gains tax that would otherwise apply to the accrued gain.

The donation process works as follows:

  • Donations are made through Scarborough Chinese Alliance Church (SCAC) and designated to SCOMMAC.

  • SCAC issues the official donation receipt based on the eligible value of the gift at the time of donation.

  • After the securities are sold and applicable transaction costs are deducted, the net proceeds are transferred to SCOMMAC.

Because this process involves brokerage fees and additional administration, it is generally best suited to larger, occasional gifts.
